This Cookie Policy explains how Zensus ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the zensus.co.uk website (the marketing/informational site — not the Zensus mobile app, which does not use cookies at all; see below). It applies only to your browser visiting this website.
1. We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies
As of this policy's effective date, this website sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking cookies of any kind. There are no embedded social widgets, ad pixels, or marketing scripts on any page.
2. Strictly necessary cookies (hosting infrastructure)
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare may, only when its security features are actively triggered (for example, a bot-protection or security challenge), set one of the following:

These are strictly necessary cookies under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the EU ePrivacy Directive — they exist solely to keep the website secure and available, not to identify you or track your behaviour, and do not require your consent. Under normal browsing with no security challenge triggered, neither cookie is set at all.
3. If we add analytics in future
If we later add website traffic/analytics tooling, our intention is to use a privacy-first, cookieless option (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics), which does not set cookies or store any identifier on your device, and reports only aggregated traffic data. Because no cookie or device storage would be involved, no consent banner would be triggered by this under PECR/ePrivacy — but we will update this policy to describe it before switching it on, regardless.
If that ever changes to a tool that does use cookies or similar tracking, we will update this policy first and add a consent mechanism before any such cookie is set, as required by law.
4. The Zensus mobile app is not covered by this policy
The Zensus mobile app does not use browser cookies at all — apps don't have cookies in the browser sense. Any data the app collects (e.g. analytics, crash reporting) is covered by our Privacy Policy, not this document.
5. Your browser controls
Because this site currently sets no cookies beyond the conditional, strictly-necessary ones described in §2, there is little to manage — but you can view, block, or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings if you wish.
6. Changes to this policy
We will update this page if what this website actually does changes — new analytics, new embedded content, or anything else that sets a cookie. Check the effective date above for the last update.
